Mentorship On Demand

Professionals, have you ever taken a fantastic continuing education course, but later realized you have more questions? This is where our Mentorship on Demand service shines.

For clinicians working with children who have questions or concerns about specific cases, or are continually using the same strategies without seeing progress, we offer live, interactive Mentorship on Demand through video calls. With a variety of pay options, we can tailor support to exactly what you need.

Employers, you know that mentorship is necessary for ongoing clinical skill development. We want to support your clinic or school by providing this service for your employees. There may not be an expert feeding therapist on staff, or those therapists may not be in a position to allocate their limited time to mentoring new hires. By engaging in our Mentorship on Demand, the therapist will receive the specialized training they need to serve their clients. This is an efficient way to build capacity across your team and improve clinical outcomes.

What could this look like for you?

Example Scenario 1

You are a new graduate SLP working in early intervention. There is a great SLP who works for the same company, but they don't have any time to mentor you.

You are seeing a child who has a developmental delay and doesn't eat anything except chicken nuggets and string cheese.

You've tried to figure out why the child eats so few foods, and you've tried to introduce new foods, but you can't quite see a clear path forward. How do you support this family?

With Mentorship on Demand, you can reach out directly to The Feeding Link. You pay for a service plan that meets your scheduling and support needs through your company's professional development funds. Soon, you will meet with us to create an evaluation and treatment plan that makes sense for your practice. As you work with the family, you have ongoing email and virtual sessions with us to try new techniques and monitor progress. You gain clinical skills and expertise in a practical, engaged way.

Example Scenario 2

You are an early childhood provider who owns a small daycare. You are concerned about a toddler in your class who continually refuses to eat at daycare. You have tried everything you can think of, but the toddler continues to refuse to participate in meal times.

You reach out directly to The Feeding Link and determine that Mentorship on Demand will enable you to create a comprehensive plan for the child. You pay for a service plan that meets your scheduling and support needs at a low price. With our help, you create a communication plan with the family and help them find a local therapist who can address underlying feeding needs. The Feeding Link provides you with ways to practically set up meal times at daycare that are low-stress, and with some small but meaningful changes, the child starts eating at daycare. You gain new skills that you can generalize to other families, and the family is supported in finding ongoing help.
